Missions
Soldotna Bible Chapel has had a passion for missions since its founding, sending out its first missionaries in 1970. We believe that to spread the good news of God's power, grace, and salvation is one of the major responsibilities of believers.
SBC currently supports over 30 missionary families and organizations through prayer and financial support throughout Alaska, the rest of the U.S., and internationally.
Over the years, many SBC members have gone on to become full time missionaries serving all over the world. SBC has also had the opportunity to send out multiple short term mission's trips to several Alaskan villages, as well as countries like Uganda, Mexico, Russia, and Nicaragua to assist with building projects or support and encourage local ministries.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Local Ministries
We believe that local churches should be active in ministering to their local community. Every member is on the front lines of sharing the saving gospel of Jesus with those God puts in our paths. To further advance this goal, we partner with several local mission's organizations that provide counseling, medical care, and resources to meet practical needs with those who need them.
One of the biggest ways to impact a community is through children - every summer, we host a Vacation Bible School program that reaches up to 250 local children and their families over the course of a four day program! This would not be possible without our church body's commitment and belief in outreach - VBS requires 100+ teen and adult volunteers to make the week a success!
Each winter, our 180 Youth Group takes a team of teens and adults up to Anchorage to provide childcare for the week-long Native Musicale program. This is a fantastic opportunity to impress on our teens the importance of sharing their faith and give them an avenue for practically applying what they've learned!
International Ministries
We look forward to the day spoken of in Revelation 7:9 when "a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages" stands before the throne and praises our savior Jesus, the Lamb of God. To that end, we are passionate about supporting missionaries called by God to reach all corners of the earth, from Italy to Thailand to Indonesia and everywhere in between. We consider it a privilege to join these families and organizations in partnership, both financially and through prayer.
