Biography:

After 25 years serving as a youth pastor, God has transitioned us to work with the military through Cadence International. Having a deep love and respect for soldiers, we find “hospitality ministry” to be a wonderful avenue to give back to those who give so much for this country. We love people, so providing a “home away from home” environment for our active servicemen is a joy! 1 Thessalonians 2:8 is our mission, we find it a delight to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our lives with the military. We provide discipleship through weekly Bible studies, mentoring, fellowship, spiritual accountability, and a home cooked meal almost every Friday night at the house.

It is our hope that the Ft. Drum hospitality house will also be used by soldiers and Chaplains to reach other soldiers for Christ! It is an accepting environment where soldiers can experience the joy of being “home” through a home cooked meal, a comfy couch, good coffee, a huge back yard for recreation, a fire pit, a lovable dog named Nori, and great fellowship with other soldiers and their families.

“We loved you so much that we shared with you not only the Gospel of God, but our own lives, too.” 1 Thess. 2:8

In humility, we can’t do it alone. We need and want to work together with you. We would like to recruit you to prayerfully and financially support our Father’s ministry to the Military. We can make a profound impact for the Kingdom of God as we uplift our servicemen in prayer, support overworked chaplains, and clearly proclaim the Gospel together!

Will you consider joining and supporting such a great cause?

Cadence International:

What is Cadence International?

Established in 1954, Cadence exalts Christ in the nations through the lives of transformed military people. Currently, over 250 Cadence missionaries serve the armed forces throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States through hospitality, Bible studies, evangelism, and discipleship. Cadence Student Ministries, the youth division of Cadence, was established in 1981 and reaches out to military-dependent youth. In 1992 Cadence began serving security forces throughout Asia, and in subsequent years added ministries to single women and to military children as well.

Why Military?

A Cadence Hospitality House is a true home-away from- home offering warmth and encouragement to our armed forces personnel. Our U.S. military personnel are often under great stress. No matter where they are stationed, all soon realize that they could be in harm’s way. For many of the singles, the military may be their first time away from home. Those married find that their family is often left behind during long deployments that can last up to 18 months. Both may have faced this multiple times. While willing to give of themselves, most do not know where they will go when they die, not having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What do we do?

  • We share the gospel and our lives by opening our home to military men and women and their dependents. (I Thess 2:8)
  • We offer Bible studies and fellowship activities.
  • We disciple and counsel.
  • We work alongside military chaplains, teaching classes and leading seminars, as requested.
  • We expose people to world missions.
