Description of Work

Larry and Vicki serve full-time with Crossworld where Larry is focusing on leading missionary-driven followers of Jesus whose goal is to make disciples through business opportunities in countries where missionary visas are unattainable.   The Great Commission is the task of every believer.  Crossworld is focusing on sending people from “all professions” to countries where traditional missionaries are not wanted.  Specifically business people are welcome to bring their business to the country and can do that in the name of Jesus.  There are incredible stories of how doors open to a gospel witness (see attachments – maybe they could be on the website)

Larry travels in North America and overseas to challenge people to go abroad to make disciples and others to serve them through coaching and mentoring and to use their expertise.  He speaks in churches, colleges and to professional groups.  He is very involved in training coaches and future workers, and in linking consultants/coaches with overseas opportunities.

Larry continues to promote missions through business.   He is an adjunct professor in the USA at Multnomah University in Portland, OR and in Canada at Vanguard College in Edmonton, AB.  He typically teaches a 3-credit Business as Mission (BAM) modular class.  However most of his time involves working with God’s people in the church who have business skills and connecting them with kingdom business startups in the most unreached areas of the world.  He still travels overseas in that regard but mostly speaks in conferences, colleges and churches.

Larry and Vicki completed their interviewing of 49 career missionaries who left for the field in the 1940s and 1950s.  Larry is now writing these stories under the rubric of “The Greatest Missionary Generation” hoping to have a draft by mid-2018.  He wants to value and honor that generation but also challenge the youth of today to serve God with their profession cross-culturally.
