Worship Motivated Giving

When we grasp the reality of the grace we've been given in the Gospel, we are compelled to respond in acts of worship.

In Psalm 24:1 we read, "The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,"

In Romans 8:32 we read, "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?"

We serve a God Who has created all things. He owns all things. He sustains all things. Furthermore, this Almighty God showers His grace on the redeemed through the loving sacrifice of His Son at Calvary.

Therefore, when we read in Proverbs 3:9-10, "Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns wil be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine" and in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not relunctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" -- we see these verses overflowing from the context of a grateful heart of worship!

As we the redeemed at Soldotna Bible Chapel give our finances, may we give stemming from the grace we've been given! As technology gives us new ways of giving (online), may we always approach our giving in full awareness of our gratitude and worship.
