Hi! I’m Pastor Kevin and I have the privilege of overseeing all the Children’s Ministries at Soldotna Bible Chapel. Jesus said “Let the little children come unto me…” (Mark10:14). At Soldotna Bible Chapel, we want children to experience the love and eternal life that Christ offers. To this end, we strive to provide a safe, fun place for children to learn and love our Savior.
At the heart of our children's ministry is basic Bible teaching which is designed to clearly present to every child their need for the Savior, Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23; 5:8). Our desire is to help families nurture and educate their children with solid Biblical training to this end.
Our volunteers are committed to ministering to children by providing quality, age-appropriate Biblical instruction, personal interaction, and creative activities designed to build a strong spiritual foundation in the life of each child. They are committed to serve God by obeying His leadership in presenting His truths to the best of their ability, to serve the Body of Christ by promising to prayerfully carry out the duties of the ministry they have accepted, and to serve children by enthusiastically involving themselves in the life of each child, knowing the privilege that is theirs of teaching children about Jesus Christ.
The purpose of our Nursery and Preschool Ministry is to help each child:
- Think of church as their church – a place where people love them and help them
- Learn at an early age the importance of memorizing verses, hearing Bible lessons, and wanting to become more like Christ
- Begin to show love, respect and acceptance of others
- Make progress in sharing, communicating, and responding to others in appropriate ways.
The nursery is available for children under the age of 2 for all Sunday morning activities and for children under the age of 4 for Sunday night and Wednesday night activities. The nursery is also available for most special services.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. - II Timothy 2:15.The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Soldotna Bible Chapel has served our community with an active Awana Club for over 35 years. This highly organized, international ministry has been adapted to fit the unique needs of Soldotna Bible Chapel. Leaders develop friendships with their groups and assist them in their understanding and memorization of Scripture. The Awana year begins in August and concludes with Awana Award Night sometime in late April. We offer programs for three age groups each Wednesday evening beginning in the gym from 6:05 until 8:00pm:
- Cubbies - three (by September 1st) to five years of age
- Sparks - kindergarten through second grade
- Truth ‘n Training - third through sixth grade
Vacation Bible School
Every June, Soldotna Bible Chapel runs a week-long Vacation Bible School. In recent years, we have partnered with Answers in Genesis to provide a fun week of solid Biblical apologetics for our children. Children come at 9:00 AM for 2 1/2 hours of music, crafts, games, and solid Bible teaching.
